Tranquil courtyard garden at Hồ Sen residence
Our Story

Where still water
teaches patience

Hồ Sen was built around a simple idea: that the later chapters of life deserve the same care and beauty as any other.

Who We Are

Born beside the lake, shaped by Hanoi

Hồ Sen came together in 2017 when a small group of Hanoians — some with backgrounds in hospitality, others in social care — looked at how the city's seniors were spending their days. What they found prompted a quiet question: could a residence feel less like an institution and more like a home that simply happened to offer extra hands?

The answer took shape at 22 Quảng Bá, steps from the western shore of West Lake. The property had been a family guesthouse, and it carried with it the proportions and courtyard logic of traditional Hanoi architecture — high ceilings, shaded walkways, and rooms that opened onto a narrow garden rather than a corridor. That quality of space became the starting point for everything that followed.

Today Hồ Sen hosts residents across three residence plans, each shaped by the same belief: that daily life here should feel familiar rather than clinical, and that cultural continuity — the smell of phở in the morning, the rhythm of traditional music on a Thursday evening, the sight of lotus blooms in the courtyard — is as nourishing as anything else we offer.

These commitments guide every decision made at Hồ Sen — from how meals are prepared to how family enquiries are handled.

Staff-to-Resident Ratio

We maintain a thoughtful staff presence throughout the day and night to ensure each resident receives prompt, attentive support whenever they need it.

Safety & Comfort Protocols

All spaces are designed to support ease of movement, clear sightlines, and quick communication between residents and staff — without compromising on the warmth and aesthetics of the home.

Nutrition & Meal Standards

Meals are prepared daily from fresh, locally sourced ingredients following Northern Vietnamese culinary traditions. Dietary preferences and sensitivities are documented and respected throughout each resident's stay.

Bilingual Communication

All staff communicate in both Vietnamese and English. Key documents, daily schedules, and family updates are available in both languages as standard.

Privacy & Data Protection

Resident and family information is handled with strict confidentiality. We do not share personal details with third parties without explicit consent, in line with Vietnamese data protection practices.

Family Communication

Families receive regular updates and can reach our team by phone or email during working hours. Heritage Suite concierges provide dedicated family liaison as part of their role.

Senior residence in Tây Hồ, Hanoi

Hồ Sen occupies a rare position in Hanoi's landscape of senior living: a small, attentive residence that draws its character from the neighbourhood it sits within. Tây Hồ District — known for its lake-facing streets, French-era buildings, and unhurried pace — shapes the daily experience of every person who lives here.

Our approach to senior residence is built around cultural continuity. Residents who have spent their lives within Hanoi's rhythms — its markets, its festivals, its particular relationship with water and greenery — find that those rhythms are woven into the fabric of life at Hồ Sen. Temple visits, traditional music evenings, and seasonal observances are part of the regular schedule, not occasional additions.

For families arranging accommodation for a parent or grandparent — whether for a single weekend or for a longer residence — we offer a conversation rather than a transaction. The right arrangement takes thought, and we welcome the time it takes to find it.
